Wie werden die Umlaute meiner Homepage richtig angezeigt?
Bei der Erstellung der Homepage verwendet man meistens UTF-8 als Zeichensatz. Der Browser sollte somit automatisch auf Unicode umstellen, damit die Umlaute richtig angezeigt werden. Das erreichen Sie grundsätzlich, indem jede Ihrer .html Dateien mit folgendem Header beginnt:
<!DOCTYPE html> <html class="html"> <head> <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"> <meta charset="UTF-8">
Sollte es trotzdem Probleme geben, kann die Erstellung einer .htaccess Datei Abhilfe schaffen:
AddDefaultCharset utf-8 AddCharset utf-8 .htm .html .php .css
